Reference sources

We list here the primary reference sources used whilst developing this website. Our collection holds many Great Western Railway publications which were intended either for sale to the public or for internal use, these included the Great Western Railway Magazine which was published monthly and was available to the publc as well as GWR staff themselves. All these publications provide a wealth of useful information. This has been supplemented by reference to other sources as may be noted here and elsewhere, in the publc domain, in conversation, through emails, and reference to third party websites for which we express our grateful thanks.

Wherever possible information has been double checked but inevitably mistakes and errors may still occur and we would be pleased to receive any comments or corrections.
